  • Kim believe me I understand entirely; we all need something to believe in. Personally my faith is led by a duty to my fellow man. Others are no doubt driven by other standards. Criminals for instance tend to be guided by greed or by a warped sense of reality.

  • Think about why in a dream, when faced with death, people wake up. The brain can do interesting things. We can day dream about things that arn't there clear as day, we can imagine being electrocuted in our sleep (happened to me actually, woke up shaking with only my blanket, not a wire, on me).

  • That's the whole point of this thread. These "facts" posted about Obama should not be accepted as truth without critical thought. But we all have different thought processes and bias, including the media, and so in the end "truth" is very relative.

  • The problem here is that people remember only the bad things about the opposing side. From ignorant religious folk to stubborn scientists, people find one person who personifies an idea they already had about that group or puts a bad taste in their mouth.
